quilt-el software package provides simple Emacs interface of quilt, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install quilt-el
quilt-el is installed in your system.
Make ensure the quilt-el package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep quilt-el *
You will get with quilt-el package name, version, architecture and description in a table
